The Number of papers with questionable images are retracted these days in huge number .The reluctance becomes all the more glaring as at least 50% of papers had images suggestive of deliberate manipulation.“The majority of inappropriate image duplications result from errors during figure preparation that can be remedied by correction,” they write.

ReplyDeletesince the syllabus is same for 5 years, there are large number of schools, colleges and institutes in the world. Therefore there is a chance of repetition of questions and images in the papers. Due to plagiarism repetition has come under observation in this days.

ReplyDeleteBut here the point is not about taking somebody else's credit, if the topic is bit similar to someone's else then also it shows as plagiarized. Even the grammatical signs and symbols are marked as plagiarism. Images as mentioned in the case can be the diagrams, webs, flowcharts, pictures, etc. might be similar as used by others.

Delete->Syllabus plagiarism does not exist, and there is no threat related to it. Syllabus is not a piece of Original work. A syllabus is a mixture of various ideas. In education system what matters more is the persons way of teaching and expressing his ideas about a particular topic or a course rather den what notes i have made.
Delete->Discussing ideas and improving once Notes/Syllabus which is obtained by a collective information from various sources is not plagiarism.
->Claiming credit for things that you shouldn't in a syllabus is a bad form.
->If someone asked ,me about a doubt which i explained very well n said its my content,when the truth is that I found it described in an article in a journal and modified it, that would be dishonest. But It still isn't plagiarism.
->If i am discussing my idea with my friend, and he without informing me discuss that same idea in a presentation in an office meeting ,without Mentioning that it wasn't his/her idea,it is not fair and he/she shouldn't do it, but it isn't plagiarism.

->In schools children's are given the essay regarding a particular topic (eg., Gandhiji) and also provided with an essay book containing the same topic, children end up writing/copying it

ReplyDeleteSchools have to take a proactive role, as it relates to plagiarism. Teaching them the pitfalls of this issue is a great place to start. It is also necessary to fully discuss the topic. This is a way to allow for communication in the classroom. The majority of students who understand this issue and the penalties of it will choose not to take such a chance. There will always be those who will consider the risk worthwhile.

Step 3->Quote
Use quotes to indicate that the text has been taken from another paper. The quotes should be exactly the way they appear in the paper you take them from.
And students also know about the plagairism and then only comeing generation know about plagiarism and then only plagairism start decreasing.plagiarism is an important issue all should know about it.
